Degraded fuel presents a major maintenance issue in small engines and powersports equipment. It can form varnish, gum and insoluble debris that clog carburetors, fuel injectors and fuel filters. Carbon buildup can form on the tops of pistons that leads to pre-ignition, rough idling and poor throttle response. Fuel-related problems are only expected to intensify in the coming years as the ethanol content in pump gasoline continues to increase.
AMSOIL Quickshot SE (AQS) is a premium fuel additive formulated to thoroughly clean and restore peak performance in small engine and powersports equipment fuel systems. It also stabilizes fuel between uses and during short-term storage periods. Its revolutionary technology focuses on three major fuel-related issues plaguing small engines and powersports equipment: ethanol, water and dirty pump gas.
Ethanol
Ethanol in fuel has a tendency to absorb water and separate from the gasoline, sinking to the bottom of the gas tank, where it quickly degrades and creates gum, varnish and other insoluble debris that can plug fuel flow passages and negatively affect engine performance. When this ethanol/water mixture is pulled
into the engine, it creates a lean burn situation that increases combustion chamber temperatures and can lead to engine damage. AMSOIL Quickshot SE is designed to keep water dispersed throughout the tank, moving it out as a normal part of operation and decreasing the chance of ethanol separating from the gasoline.
Quickshot SE was tested in fuel containing 10 percent ethanol. Controlled plugging of injectors showed a 70 percent flow improvement, while oxidation stability improved 44 percent over untreated fuel.
Water
Water finds its way into gas tanks through condensation in tanks open to the atmosphere, gas pumps and other environmental conditions, and if left untreated, will cause a myriad of starting, performance and corrosion problems. By keeping water dispersed in tiny molecules and safely moving it out of the tank through the combustion chamber, Quickshot SE helps maintain engine performance and protects against damaging corrosion.
Dirty Gasoline
Dirty gasoline causes fuel system gumming and varnish, as well as piston and combustion chamber deposits. Although all gasoline sold in the U.S. is formulated with a lowest additive concentration (LAC) level of detergent additives, these detergent levels are not enough to prevent deposits from building up on critical fuel system components. Quickshot SE contains unique chemistry that quickly detaches and carries away deposits and buildups in fuel systems, injectors and carburetors, while also cleaning hard-to-remove deposits on piston tops, spark plugs and other combustion chamber parts.
Applications
Quickshot SE is recommended for use in all two- and four-stroke gasoline-powered engines, including motorcycles, snowmobiles, boats, personal watercraft, ATVs, edgers, tillers, mowers, snowblowers, chainsaws, generators and farm and construction equipment. However, AMSOIL P.i. Performance Improver is the superior choice for passenger vehicle applications.
Recommendations
Quickshot SE is designed for an initial clean-up dose of 8 oz. per 6 gallons of gasoline, followed by 8 oz. per 12 gallons thereafter.

AMSOIL Engine and Transmission Flush (FLSH) helps restore fuel economy, increase operating efficiency and reduce emissions in gasoline and diesel engines, and automatic transmissions. Its potent, detergent-based formula cleans sludge and deposit build-up, promoting lower operating temperatures and reduced oil consumption. AMSOIL Engine and Transmission Flush is safe on parts and can be easily disposed of with waste oil.
Restores Vehicles to Like-New
New engines and transmissions run more efficiently, but over time they gather harmful deposits that cause power and performance loss. Stop-and-go driving, prolonged idling, short trips that do not allow the engine to reach full operating temperature, towing, the ingestion of airborne dirt, fuel dilution, water condensation and oxidized oil all can promote sludge build-up in motor oil and transmission fluid. As it settles, sludge clogs narrow oil passages, restricting oil flow to vital parts, especially the upper valve train area.
In transmissions, deposits can form on clutch plates, causing hesitation and erratic shifting. Ultimately clutch glazing can set in, reducing the life of the transmission. Deposits in engines and transmissions can accelerate wear, causing power loss and increased fuel consumption.
• Cleans engines and transmissions for improved efficiency, fuel economy and lower emissions
• Prolongs equipment life
• Detergent-based formula more environmentally friendly
• Compatible with seals and gaskets
• One-treatment results
• Easily disposed of with waste oil
Installing new oil or transmission fluid into a dirty vehicle may not be enough to remove deposits and increase efficiency. The detergents and dispersants in some lubricants may not be able to handle leftover sludge and deposits, and the new lubricant soon becomes unfit for service, accelerating the formation of even more harmful deposits.
AMSOIL Engine and Transmission Flush Benefits
Unlike many flush products, AMSOIL Engine and Transmission Flush features a multi-use formulation that dissolves and disperses sludge, varnish and deposits in both engines and automatic transmissions. Due to its detergent-based formulation, used AMSOIL FLSH can be easily disposed of with waste oil, making it more user-friendly. Its advanced formula of light base oil technology, powerful detergents and dispersants provides safe cleaning action. AMSOIL FLSH is compatible with both petroleum and synthetic oils, preparing poorly maintained equipment for installation of new oil. It represents the first step toward restoring neglected equipment to top-notch performance. AMSOIL Engine and Transmission Flush provides the following benefits in only one treatment:
Gasoline and Diesel Engines
• Helps loosen sticky valves and rings, minimizing blow-by and reducing emissions
• Helps quiet lifter noise
• Promotes lower operating temperatures through sludge removal
• Easy disposal
Automatic Transmissions
• Cleans deposits in oil cooler and ports
• Helps unclog fluid passages
• Cleans deposits and varnish from clutch plates, helping improve efficiency
• Promotes smoother operation and transmission life through reduced shift delay
Applications
AMSOIL Engine and Transmission Flush is recommended for diesel and gasoline engines, and automatic transmissions. It is not recommended for CVT transmissions or differentials.
Directions for Use
Though it works in one treatment, AMSOIL Engine and Transmission Flush is safe enough to be used at every oil change. If using a flushing machine, follow the manufacturer’s recommendation. Otherwise, use the following guidelines:
Engine: Add 16 oz. bottle of AMSOIL Engine and Transmission Flush to engine oil fill port. Idle the engine for 10-15 minutes, then immediately drain the oil. Ensure enough time for the system to completely
drain. Remove and replace the engine oil filter. Refill engine with new engine oil in the viscosity grade recommended by the manufacturer.
Transmission: Engage emergency brake. Add 16 oz. bottle of AMSOIL Engine and Transmission Flush to transmission oil fill port. Idle for 10-15 minutes; shift through drive and reverse. Recommendations
Dominator Coolant Boost is
recommended with both
racing applications using straight
water coolant and
automotive applications using 50/50
coolant/water
mixtures.
Directions: With engine off and cool, make sure cooling system is filled with selected coolant. Shake bottle and pour calculated amount of Coolant Boost into radiator. Start engine, turn heat on high and run for 15 minutes. Do NOT use distilled water unless mixed with 50% antifreeze.
Dosage: For straight water applications, add 2 fl. oz. of Coolant Boost per quart of tap or softened water. For 50/50 coolant/water applications, add 1 fl . oz. of Coolant Boost per quart of 50/50 mix.
Frequency: In applications using Coolant Boost with straight water, drain and re-fill the coolant system and add Coolant Boost once per year or when indicated by color change. A distinctive pH color change indicates when the pH has fallen to a point where corrosion can set in. When the Coolant Boost/water mixture changes from pink to clear, another dosage of Coolant Boost should be added. Monitoring the pH level will ensure all vital areas of the cooling system are protected against corrosion.
In applications using Coolant Boost with 50/50 coolant/water mixtures, add Coolant Boost once per year or every 30,000 miles, whichever comes first. Follow coolant manufacturer recommendations for coolant change intervals.

Improves combustion efficiency to increase power in diesel engines. Raises cetane three to seven numbers. Also improves low-temperature starting, fuel ignition quality and reliability. Treats up to 200 gallons. Product Code: ACB
Cetane number is the measure of a diesel fuel's ignition quality. Ignition quality is measured by ignition delay, the time between the start of fuel injection and the start of fuel combustion. Fuels with good ignition quality give short ignition delays and are assigned high cetane numers.
Cetane, the colorless, oily hydrocarbon on which the cetane number scale is based, has extremely good ignition quality and is assigned a cetane number of 100. The cetane numbers of North American diesel fuels may be as low as 37, which cause startablility and driveability problems.
AMSOIL Cetane Boost increases a fuel's cetane number and improves its ignition quality. Cetane Boost encourages timely, uniform fuel ignition, discourages high pressure rate rise during the combustion cycle and solves startability and driveability problems associated with low cetane number diesel fuels.
Smooth Operations - too long an ignition delay at high engine loads leads to an excessively rapid increase in pressure within the cylinder before combustion, which in turn, leads to diesel knock, or rough operation, especially on cold starts. Excessive pressure rise rates are theoretically cuased by extra chemical reactions occurring before combustion. The products formed by the extra reactions burn rapidly. Rapid burning causes excessively rapid pressure rise in the cyclinder. With a shorter ignition delay, the extra reactions don't have a chance to occur, hence the rate of pressure rise is reduced.
By reducing ignition delay, AMSOIL Cetane Boost maintains the proper cylinder pressure rise rate. Maintaining the proper pressure rise rate improves driveability. Cetane Boost also improves driveability by reducing throttling pintle nozzle coking. Throttling pintle nozzle coking produces noise and emissions. Cetane Boost cleans up coke deposits and prevents the formation of new deposits. Cetane Boost also reduces varnish formation.
Improves Cold Engine Startability - In a cold engine with low intake air pressure, a long ignition delay cuases difficult starting, misfiring and incomplete combustion. Incomplete combustion causes power loss and produces white smoke. White smoke is evidence of unburned or partially burned fuel. It occures after starting a cold engine, during idling or other cold-engine operations.
By reducing ignition dleay, Cetane Boost improves cold starting characteristics by reducing the time required to start the engine and the time required to establish smooth engine operation. Cetane Boost also allows engines to start at lower temperatures than the can with non-Cetane Boost treated fuels.
Reduce Emissions - AMSOIL Cetane Boost substantially reduces hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide emissions of heavy-duty on-road diesel trucks. By shortening the ignition delay, Cetane Boost helps fuel burn more completely, reducing carbon monoxideand hydrocarbon emissions. Cetane Boost may also reduce NO and particulate emissons.
Available in Convenient Size - One 16-oz can of AMSOIL Cetane Boost treats 100-200 gallons of diesel fuel and increases the fuel's cetane number three to seven points. Adding one can to 100 gallons of fuel provides the maximum benefit.
Alcohol Free - AMSOIL Cetane Boost contains no ethanol, methanol, MTBE or other alcohol.

ULTRA-LOW-SULFUR DIESEL FUEL
CHALLENGES
The reduced sulfur levels in modern ultra-low-sulfur
diesel fuel (ULSD) result in reduced lubricity, the property
that controls wear in the fuel injectors and fuel pump.
Improving lubricity in ULSD is difficult because it must be
done without adding sulfur back into the fuel. Additionally,
ULSD is subjected to extensive refining, making it even
more difficult to treat. For these reasons, many
competitive claims are not based on ULSD fuels,
rendering them inaccurate and irrelevant. AMSOIL Diesel
Concentrate Plus Cold Flow Improver is formulated
specifically for modern ULSD fuel. It improves lubricity,
helps maintain engine oil TBN and prevents soot
loading.
REDUCES CYLINDER WEAR,
RETAINS ENGINE OIL TBN LONGER
With high rates of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) in
modern diesel engines, acids from combustion are of
particular concern. AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate Plus
Cold Flow Improver neutralizes acids during combustion.
It helps reduce acid-caused cylinder wear and helps
extend engine oil TBN, maintaining engine oil quality
longer for better protection.
MINIMIZES SOOT LOADING
AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate Plus Cold Flow Improver is
a powerful cleaner that cleans fuel injectors and piston
rings for improved combustion and better sealing. It minimizes
soot generated from incomplete combustion and
helps keep soot out of the crankcase. Reduced sootloading
controls soot-related wear and engine oil viscosity
increase.
SUPERIOR COLD-WEATHER
PERFORMANCE
As the temperature drops, the wax naturally found in diesel fuel begins
to form crystals. The point at which wax crystals form is known as the
cloud point. These wax crystals eventually clog the fuel filter and
starve the engine of fuel, preventing it from starting. While low
quality fuels may form wax crystals in temperatures as warm as 40°F
(4°C), most fuels have a cloud point near 32°F (0°C). The point at
which the wax crystals clog the fuel filter is known as the cold
filter-plugging point (CFPP). AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate Plus Cold Flow
Improver lowers the CFPP by as much as 34°F (19°C) in ULSD.
It also reduces the pour-point temperature of treated diesel fuel, providing better fuel delivery to the injectors during cold weather. It is formulated with a jet-fuel-type deicer that disperses water to control ice formation in all sections of the fuel system. Diesel Concentrate Plus Cold Flow Improver minimizes the need for the use of #1 diesel fuel, enabling better fuel economy, performance and lubricity.
POUR POINT VS. CFPP
It is important to distinguish between CFPP and pour
point. Many competitors make great claims regarding
pour point, leading consumers to believe their products
are superior when they actually have an inferior CFPP.
Once fuel surpasses its cloud point, the wax crystals
begin to clog the fuel filter. The CFPP temperature is a
more important characteristic than pour point because
the engine will not run if fuel cannot pass through the
fuel filter.
REDUCED NEED FOR
#1 DIESEL FUEL
One traditional solution to cold weather problems in
diesel engines is the use of #1 diesel fuel, which is diesel
fuel diluted with kerosene. While #1 diesel fuel has an
advantage in low-temperature operability, there are also
several disadvantages. The energy content of #1 diesel
fuel is about 95 percent of that of #2 diesel fuel, resulting
in reduced fuel economy and less horsepower. In
addition, the kerosene used in #1 diesel fuel provides
less lubrication for the fuel pump and fuel distributor,
increasing the likelihood for wear on these critical
components. AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate Plus Cold
Flow Improver minimizes the need for blending standard
#2 diesel fuel with lower-quality #1 diesel fuel, helping to
maintain fuel economy and keep engines functioning
normally.
RECOMMENDATIONS
One 16-oz. bottle of AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate Plus
Cold Flow Improver treats 40 gallons of fuel. Diesel
Concentrate Plus Cold Flow Improver will show no signs
of solidifying in its concentrated state in the bottle until
the temperature reaches -22°F (-30°C). It will only freeze
in its concentrated state, and AMSOIL recommends
storing it at temperatures above 0°F (-18°C). If Diesel
Concentrate Plus Cold Flow Improver is allowed to freeze
in the bottle it can be thawed and used. When mixed with
diesel fuel, Diesel Concentrate Plus Cold Flow Improver
effectively improves diesel fuel cold-temperature
properties. It is important to treat fuel before it has
reached its cloud point as Diesel Concentrate Plus Cold
Flow Improver will not dissolve wax crystals which have
already formed in the fuel.
AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate Plus Cold Flow Improver meets federal regulations for ULSD fuel. It complies with federal low-sulfur content requirements for use in diesel motor vehicles and non-road engines. While Diesel Concentrate Plus Cold Flow Improver is formulated specifically for ULSD fuel, it also performs well with non-ULSD fuels, including biodiesel.
AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate Plus Cold Flow Improver is specifically formulated to improve the lubrication of fuel system components, improve fuel flow, help maintain fuel integrity and prevent the fuel filter and injectors from clogging. Diesel Concentrate Plus Cold Flow Improver is recommended for diesel-powered vehicles, home heating oil and kerosene heating systems.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
AMSOIL Cold Flow Improver for diesel fuel is designed for use in Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel fuel (ULSD) and conventional fuels. It functions by modifying wax crystal formation at low temperatures to depress the pour point and improve cold flow filtration properties. AMSOIL Cold Flow Improver contains jet fuel-type deicer to help prevent ice formation in fuels contaminated with water. It is recommended for use with all diesel engines and is compatible with diesel exhaust particulate filters (DPFs). AMSOIL Cold Flow Improver is recommended for use in #2 diesel fuel, #1 diesel fuel, kerosene, heating oil and bio diesel. Add AMSOIL Cold Flow Improver to diesel fuel above the fuel cloud point, which is the temperature wax crystals begin to form. Diesel fuel cloud point varies greatly with some lesser-quality diesel fuels forming wax as warm as 40° F (4°C). AMSOIL recommends treating diesel fuel at a minimum of 32°F (0°C), insuring the fuel is properly treated inmost every case. AMSOIL Cold Flow Improver is designed to control wax crystal formation. It does not reverse wax or gel once formed.
Note – Do not store below 0°F (-18°C) as product will solidify in its concentrated state when not mixed with fuel. However, once combined with diesel fuel, it effectively lowers diesel fuel cold filter plugging performance as much as 20°F (11°C). It treats at one ounce per five gallons of fuel and is excellent for use with AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate and AMSOIL Cetane Boost Additive.
