AMSOIL MCT is the result of extensive research, and it is specially formulated to excel in all areas unique to motorcycles, including high engine RPM, wet clutch lubrication, extreme pressure regions of gears and rust common to short drives and storage.
AMSOIL MCT is multi-functional and fulfills the requirements of both domestic and foreign motorcycles. It outperforms other conventional and synthetic motorcycle oils.
AMSOIL, the leader in automotive synthetic lubrication, produced the world’s first API-qualified synthetic motor oil in 1972. Trust the extensive experience of AMSOIL The First in Synthetics® to do the best job protecting your engine.
Reduces Friction, Heat and Wear
In high heat conditions, engine protection is not sacrificed with AMSOIL Synthetic Motorcycle Oil. AMSOIL 10W-30 keeps engines running cool by effectively reducing friction and heat, and it contains a heavy treatment of anti-wear additives to reduce wear regardless of the operating conditions. AMSOIL MCT is thermally (heat) stable and contains maximum levels of oxidation inhibitor additives. It is extremely resistant to volatility and engineered to prevent damaging sludge and carbon deposits for superior engine cleanliness.
Provides Extreme Pressure Quality Protection for Gears
With AMSOIL MCT, there is no need for separate transmission lubricants. It is shear stable and will not thin out from mechanical activity. AMSOIL MCT performs like a gear lube without the negative effects of extreme pressure additives, such as poor wet-clutch performance.
Delivers Superior Rust and Corrosion Protection
Motorcycles are prone to rust from storage, humidity and short drives. Rust can cause major damage such as uncontrolled wear, compression loss and blow-by. Good rust protection, however, comes by design and is not natural to engine oils. Unlike many motorcycle oils, AMSOIL MCT contains special anti-rust agents that deliver superior rust protection. With its high TBN, AMSOIL 10W-30 provides greater protection from acid corrosion and helps maintain internal engine cleanliness.
Provides Excellent Wet Clutch Performance
AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30 Motorcycle Oil contains no friction modifiers and promotes smooth shifting and positive clutch engagement. It controls heat and prevents slippage and glazing, promoting longer clutch life.
APPLICATIONS

MIXING AMSOIL
AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30 Motorcycle Oil is compatible with conventional and synthetic motor oils; however, mixing oils may shorten the oil life expectancy and reduce the performance benefits. AMSOIL does not support extended drain intervals where oils have been mixed.
Aftermarket oil additives are not recommended for use with AMSOIL motorcycle oil.
SERVICE LIFE
Recommended for use up to twice the motorcycle manufacturer change interval (miles/hours) or one year, whichever comes first, in engines and transmissions. When using an engine filter other than AMSOIL Ea, change the filter at standard intervals.
For “off road” use, change AMSOIL MCT at motorcycle manufacturer intervals.
Racing or modified engines are excluded from extended drain interval recommendations. Oil changes
are at the owner's discretion.

No matter what kind of riding you do, there's an AMSOIL EaOM Motorcycle Oil Filter that's right for your bike or ATV.
Look Up the AMSOIL EaOM Oil Filter for your Motorcycle or ATV
See product application notes for Harley Davidson Motorcycles at bottom of page
Oil is the life blood of your motorcycle engine. Your oil filtration system keeps that life blood flowing and your ride on the road.
For nearly 30 years, AMSOIL INC. has offered state-of-the-art products Dealers can sell with pride. In that time, the company's reputation has grown, along with its product line.
Now, AMSOIL has developed a full line of oil filters specifically designed for motorcycles and ATVs.
The SuperDuty Motorcycle Oil Filters (SMF) reflect the newest technological advances in the quest to meet the unique demands of today's high-stress motorcycle engines.
The three main functions of any oil filter are flow, life and efficiency.
While each of those functions is vital individually, there's more to it.
"Remember, it's more than just flow. It's more than just efficiency. It's more than just life," said Dave Anderson, AMSOIL Technical Sales Director. "They all have to perform in unison. A filter is only as good as its weakest link."
Typically, oil filters are comprised of cellulose, or paper, synthetic fibers, glass fibers, or a combination of media.
"All of these fibers have a different set of characteristics to them," Anderson said.
Each provides different levels of filtration of the damaging dirt and dust particles that shorten the life of a motorcycle engine.
Flow is gained through a media that is open and free, while efficiency is gained through media that is closed and difficult to penetrate. The flow versus efficiency " compromise within the filtration system is the greatest demand on an oil filter's performance.
"Through our testing, we have found the best for motorcycles, and automobiles, is a blend of the three media - synthetic, cellulose and glass," Anderson said.. "That gives the best overall performance. You have to look at overall performance. How they do all the tasks that you want them to do. A prudent consumer must consider the total package."
AMSOIL SuperDuty Motorcycle Oil Filters provide the greatest possible balance of that "total package" to provide the ultimate in overall filtration performance.
The filters are available in black finish, with several models also available in chrome. The chrome models have a C designation.
They have a heavy-duty case of drawn steel. The case is double-crimped at the base with rolled-under seaming to withstand extreme pressure surges and road shocks.
AMSOIL SMF are available in spin-on and cartridge types.
The new G-194 Automotive Filter and Cross- Reference Guide lists the correct filter for each motor- cycle and ATV. A separate Motorcycle and ATV Filter Cross Reference Guide, G-1768, at $1.00 U.S., also is newly available for your convenience.
These quality full-flow filters are designed to allow extended filter change intervals.
AMSOIL INC. recommends the following guidelines. When using an AMSOIL SMF with conventional oil, change the filter at the manufacturer 's recommendation. When using an AMSOIL SMF with AMSOIL Motor Oil, change the filter at twice the manufacturer 's recommendation or six months.

Nanofiber Basics
Because the nanofibers in AMSOIL Ea Motorcycle Air Filter media are so small, there are more pores per square inch, allowing for higher dirt-holding capacity and lower pressure drop compared to traditional filter medias. Thinner media fibers produce more uniform pore size distribution, improving the filter’s overall ability to capture and retain particles.
Air Filtration Basics
An engine requires air for combustion, but the air drawn in through the induction system is loaded with contaminants. There are over 400 tons of suspended dirt and other contaminants in a cubic mile of air over a typical city. The concentration can be even higher in rural areas where there is frequent travel on unpaved roads. The dirt and contaminants drawn into an engine from the air are the leading causes of engine wear.
The function of the air filter is to trap and hold these wear causing contaminants without restricting air flow. As the filter traps more and more contaminants, air flow becomes restricted, smothering the engine and diminishing performance. The more wear causing contaminants a filtration media traps and holds, while still allowing optimum air flow, the better the filtration media.
The nanofiber technology used in AMSOIL Ea Filters surpasses all other technology in efficiency, capacity and service life. With AMSOIL Ea Air Filters, dust and submicron particles remain on the surface and are trapped in the nanofibers, preventing particles from lodging in the filter media depth. This produces higher efficiency and higher capacity, extending engine and filter life and reducing engine wear.
Ea Motorcycle Air Filters
The filtration media in the Ea Motorcycle Air Filter is pleated and has epoxy-coated wire on the face and back of the media for additional strength and stiffness. High quality plastisol potting compounds bond the pleat packs to the plastic or aluminum side plates. The S&S (aftermarket engine and carburetor manufacturer) style round filters are manufactured with high-quality plastisol that bonds the media to the wire backing and sealing area.
Superior Filtration
The synthetic nanofiber media featured in AMSOIL Ea Motorcycle Air Filters have sub-micron diameters and small inter-fiber spaces, resulting in more contaminants being captured on the surface of the media and lower restriction. Cellulose, wetted gauze and foam filters have larger spaces between the media that cause contaminants to load in the depth of the filter, resulting in airflow path plugging, higher restriction and lower capacity.
Cleanable for Long Service Life
AMSOIL Ea Motorcycle Air Filters are cleanable, providing unsurpassed protection and long service life. AMSOIL Ea Motorcycle Air Filters should be cleaned every year or according to operating conditions. Operation in extremely dusty or dirty environments may require more frequent cleaning. Ea Motorcycle Air Filters should be changed every four years.
Cleaning Instructions
AMSOIL Ea Motorcycle Air Filters are cleaned in the same manner as AMSOIL Ea Air Filters for cars and light trucks: with a vacuum or shop air. To clean with a vacuum, place the filter on a flat surface and carefully vacuum the filter media on the dirty side where the incoming airflow enters the filter. To clean with shop air, hold the filter with one hand and carefully blow the filter media at a 45-degree angle on the clean side of the filter using low-pressure (15 to 20 psi) shop air. Using too much air pressure will damage the filter media.
Superior Alternative
AMSOIL is producing an initial offering of eight Ea Motorcycle Air Filters manufactured for the most popular Harley Davidson models from the years 1988 to 2006, including motorcycles equipped with S&S carburetors and air cleaner housings.

In the last three years, AMSOIL has introduced more new products and made more technical advances than during any other period in the company’s storied 34-year history. AMSOIL now provides engine oils for nearly every application, multiple gear oils, greases, fuel additives and appearance products. To offer a more wellrounded selection of automotive products, AMSOIL also offers high quality products from other manufacturers such as Twin Air, Donaldson and WIX. Recently, AMSOIL’s focus has been on the filtration market. The recently launched Ea Filter line includes the finest filtration products in the world for the auto/light truck market, and Donaldson covers the heavy-duty market. To complement the Ea line of filters, AMSOIL now offers WIX filters, allowing one-stop shopping for automotive customers. AMSOIL carries over 700 WIX air, oil, fuel, racing and transmission filters for automotive and light truck applications.
A History of Excellence
WIX is well-known around the world for its innovative filtration
products for the automotive and light truck market. Founded in 1939,
the Gastonia, N.C., company earned acclaim during World War II when it
created an oil filter out of a paper tube, wooden plugs and yarn when
steel was in short supply. In 1954 WIX created the revolutionary
spin-on oil filter that was eventually adopted as original equipment on
most vehicles.
Today WIX manufactures some of the best oil, air, lube, cabin air, hydraulic, fuel, crank case breather and transmission filtration products on the market. The company is also widely known for its support of NASCAR.
Superior Construction
WIX oil filters have a full metal base
plate for superior strength at the
double seal. They also feature a silicone
anti-drainback valve that stays
flexible in extreme temperatures. This
improves oil flow and keeps oil in the filter to prevent dry
starts.
WIX oil filters use an up-front by-pass valve. This design is superior to top-mounted valves because it helps to keep oil from washing past dirty media and entering the engine. The glass-enhanced media in WIX oil filters offers greater efficiency, capturing more 10 to 12 micron sized particles than other cellulose/synthetic blend medias. They also have a coil steel spring to ensure internal filter parts are sealed properly.
WIX panel element air filters have a linear path through the filter for low airflow restriction, a specially formulated adhesive to form WIX’s exclusive pocket pleat for the filter media and a soft sealing urethane gasket molded in place on the filter element.
Radial air filters are constructed of mesh screen on the inside wall diameter for element strength and media protection from backfire. Each round filter is manufactured with heat-resistant plastisol with specially designed crush seals on the top and bottom walls and adhesive seal joining the media ends. Additional Filtration Products AMSOIL offers WIX filtration products for auto/light truck and racing applications. This includes not only standard air and oil filters, but fuel, transmission, cabin air and filters specially designed for racing as well.
Fuel Filters
WIX fuel filters provide unmatched fuel cleansing performance.
They prevent pump wear, injector clogging,
premature engine wear and help boost fuel efficiency.
WIX fuel filters offer quick, easy filter replacement, long
life and the possibility of extended service intervals.
WIX spin-on filters reduce the possibility of improperly
installed cover gaskets, and they provide effective,
easy draining of excess water on filters equipped with
the drain plug. The superior materials, design and construction
of WIX fuel filters provide excellent performance
under all types of operating conditions.
Transmission Filters
AMSOIL will also offer the full line of industry-leading
WIX transmission filters for passenger cars and light
trucks. WIX transmission filters provide superior protection
for many transmission applications in the
auto/light truck market.

Additional Information
WIX filters are supplemental to AMSOIL Ea filters, but now AMSOIL will
offers WIX filtration products that cross to an Ea filter. With the
exception of WIX lube filters, all WIX filters should be changed in
accordance with original equipment manufacturer’s (OEM)
recommendations. WIX lube filter change intervals are extended OEM
recommendations to match the drain intervals of AMSOIL XL Motor oil. To
find the correct filter for your application, consult the Online Product Application
Guide.
WIX Racing Filters
AMSOIL is carrying WIX racing filters in addition to
filters for more common automotive and light truck
applications. WIX has been a part of racing and
NASCAR for many years, both as a sponsor and in
the race cars. The company’s long-standing relationship
with NASCAR not only demonstrates that
WIX filters are high-quality products, but it also
shows WIX’s dedication to racing, making it a perfect
match for AMSOIL.
Richard Petty began using WIX filters in 1967, winning six NASCAR championships with the help of WIX filtration technology. Currently, WIX filters are used on more than 20 Sprint Cup cars, including those of two-time champion Tony Stewart and 2007 Raybestos Rookie of the Year Juan Pablo Montoya. WIX is also an associate sponsor of Joe Gibbs Racing and maintains a partnership with Toyota Racing Development (TRD).
WIX racing filters are specially designed for racing applications and are not intended for normal driving applications. AMSOIL will carry all WIX racing filters, which includes 10 oil, 14 air and 2 fuel filters.
