Ideal for both fuel injected and carbureted systems. Dissolves and removes fuel system deposits and other contaminants for improved power and overall performance in gasoline engines. Reduces PCV and EGR system deposits. Reduces exhaust emissions (tests show up to 90 percent reduction). Improves engine idle, response and starting.  An initial clean-up dose of six ounces for ten gallons of gasoline restores up to 95 percent of an injector's original fuel flow. Periodic maintenance doses of one ounce for ten gallons of gasoline keep injectors and other fuel system components clean.

Increases a fuel's cetane number and improves its ignition quality. Cetane Boost encourages timely, uniform fuel ignition, discourages high pressure rate rise during the combustion cycle and solves startability and driveability problems associated with low cetane number diesel fuels.  Too long an ignition delay at high engine loads leads to an excessively rapid increase in pressure within the cylinder before combustion, which in turn, leads to diesel knock, or rough operation, especially on cold starts.  Excessive pressure rise rates are theoretically cuased by extra chemical reactions occurring before combustion.  The products formed by the extra reactions burn rapidly. Rapid burning causes excessively rapid pressure rise in the cyclinder. With a shorter ignition delay, the extra reactions don't have a chance to occur, hence the rate of pressure rise is reduced.

For diesel fuel is designed for use in Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel fuel (ULSD) and conventional fuels. It functions by modifying wax crystal formation at low temperatures to depress the pour point and improve cold flow filtration properties. AMSOIL Cold Flow Improver contains jet fuel-type deicer to help prevent ice formation in fuels contaminated with water. It is recommended for use with all diesel engines and is compatible with diesel exhaust particulate filters (DPFs). AMSOIL Cold Flow Improver is recommended for use in #2 diesel fuel, #1 diesel fuel, kerosene, heating oil and bio diesel. Add AMSOIL Cold Flow Improver to diesel fuel above the fuel cloud point, which is the temperature wax crystals begin to form. Diesel fuel cloud point varies greatly with some lesser-quality diesel fuels forming wax as warm as 40° F (4°C). AMSOIL recommends treating diesel fuel at a minimum of 32°F (0°C), insuring the fuel is properly treated inmost every case. AMSOIL Cold Flow Improver is designed to control wax crystal formation. It does not reverse wax or gel once formed.

Diesel fuel quality varies.  Bad fuel fouls injectors, accelerates injector pump wear, makes for rough running, impedes starting and causes cold temperature stalling.
You can't be certain of the quality you're getting at the pump.  With AMSOIL diesel fuel additives, however, you can be certain that the fuel in your tank is the best it can be.

AMSOIL Cetane Boost - North American diesel fuel is notoriously cetane-deficient.  Often, the performance problems drivers blame on their diesel engines, like rough running and lack of power, are actually caused by cetane deficient diesel fuel.

While rough running and low power are no picnic for the driver, they're a nightmare for the engine.  Instead of igniting smoothly, low cetane fuel explodes sending shock waves through the combustion chamber and throughout the engine.

AMSOIL Cetane Boost (for use in all diesel engines) raises cetane three to seven numbers, helping engines start dependably and run smoothly and powerfully - just the way diesel should run.

AMSOIL diesel fuel additives are alcohol-free for seal protection.  AMSOIL diesel fuel additives may be mixed during fueling.
